AJ Shea Construction Completes Centerbrook Architects Solar Array

AJ Shea Construction LLC has recently completed the installation of the largest corporate solar energy project to date, in Connecticut. The client, Centerbrook Architects, occupies a 19th century mill building on the Falls River. This project included the installation of 100 photovoltaic panels on the roof of the building, along with the inverters and their connection to the building's power system.

The panels are expected to generate 10% of the building's electrical needs and offer a $4,000 energy savings per year. A $74,550 subsidy from the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund and a federal tax credit of $6,700, makes this a cost-effective renewable energy project.
